I am a licensed clinical social worker in private practice and I have been a mental health professional treating families, adolescents, individual adults, couples, and groups since 2003. I have worked in residential treatment facilities, hospitals, community mental health settings (including home-based and school-visiting programs) and outpatient clinics.

I trained for two years at the San Francisco Psychotherapy Research Group Clinic and Training Center where I studied Control Mastery Theory and provided psychotherapy to clients in a mental health clinic. I completed further training at the Institute of Contemporary Psychoanalysis in the Bay Area and am trained in Multidimensional Family Therapy. I also served on the Board of Directors at the San Francisco Psychotherapy Research Group after graduating from their training program.

I have experience with diverse clientele and welcome individuals from all racial and ethnic backgrounds. I also have experience with and welcome gay and lesbian clients.

Before becoming a social worker I worked as a collegiate-level athletic coach and an outdoor educator. As a coach and teacher I worked closely with individuals and groups to establish goals and work towards achieving them. I developed programs to improve participants’ self-awareness and emotional resilience in the face of challenges.

Additional Training:

Ongoing education and training are important to me. I am involved in regular professional consultation and I maintain my educational requirements by participating in continued professional training every year.
